Sponsorship????

I'm afraid the days of real sponsorship have long since come to an end; even so called 'pro' teams are having to face up to the harsh realities of the word 'no' when it comes to asking for support.

Gem, if you mean, sponsorship in the form of cheaper prices then you may get lucky but if you mean sponsorship in the form of companies giving you things, then forget it gal.

which tournaments do you play?? certain events might have photographers etc. recently an all girls team from America i believe have done a calendar.. and they advertise through facebook.
get a team facebook page and post pictures of you lot playing/socialising.
We're a mixed team. And as for which tournaments.. i'm not too sure as I've recently joined the team, but from what i've been told we usually play the inter uni league.

Relatives and drunk people don't count. You need to pass the Cook$ challenge before you start banding the word 'attractive' around ;)
Do boyfriend and male friends count? And whats this Cook$ challenge of which you speak?

Robbo, hmm okay. Essentially, Im just seeing what we can get, as our team is made up of students, so we're not the richest of people!

You have done it now...

On topic- go chat with angel... or local companys within the paintball world
Oh dear... should I be worried?

Okay. Our local company is warped and we've spoken to them about training exercises, which they gave us some useful information about/contacts. They already have their own team though so theyre unlikely to give us sponsorship.

I think an important question that you should have an answer to is...

Why can I do for the sponsors/Why should they sponsor me?

if your a new team, (like our team) i wouldn't be thinking about being sponsored etc etc try not to run before you can walk, there are some amazing teams out there which would be higher in the pecking order for sponsorship and support, the best we are hoping for is some mula off paint for buying in bulk :D

so get out there play the game and have some fun, when your playign against teams like Russian Legion, Dynasty and Nexus, feel free to ask around :D

if you're planning on going to regular tournaments you could look into selling spots on your jerseys for a year to small companies independent of paintball, could make you a bit of money to spend on training or for entry fees. Of course you would need a good selling point... (big banners with sponsors on, etc)

what you guys think?

Fisz, I include a paragraph about why they should sponsor us in emails... I normally go along the route of advertising.

Sould Doubt, hmm okay. Sounds reasonable. We're kind of a new team... we're made up of students, so people come and go, so for example, we have 2 older people in the team atm, and 3 of us have recently joined (2 of us are freshers). But then we also have other members who play on occasion.
