OK, so I guess what I was aiming at with the thread was to see if, with no MS, British paintball might be strengthened, with Brit ballers opting to play domestic events instead.
My feeling is that if the UK teams just train for MS, and play MS, then there is no room for a proper UK series. If there were a UK series, and the top teams from that series went to play in MS events, that would in my opinion be a better scenario than the current one.
Are any countries going to develop properly, if their top teams don't play competitive paintball in their own country and don't influence other teams in their own country to improve, through playing them in competition.
Twizz, you remember that back in the day there were several different series to play. The bigger teams would attend, even if it were just for practice. The events would often be limited-paint affairs, so there were fixed costs for the teams to work with. Then, the best of these teams might go play Toulouse, or Campaign.
Now, teams are being expected to play all MS events, and have no money to play in the UK.
For me, the teams should play a complete domestic season, and then pick other events that they can afford to attend outside of the country after this is covered. The whole thing is backwards, and I feel UK paintball is suffering because of this.
Of course, of everyone that answered, no-one woudl play in the UK even if there is no MS, and thats a bad sign.
