......the Millennium Series folded, and there were no MS events in 2010?

No, there is no reason to expect the MS to fold, this is entirely made-up. But if they did, and there was nothing that took it's place, and you had to pick from current options - where would you play next year?

Well I am trying tp find other events to play out of the UK, as I have 4 Teams but only 1 is playing the millenniums, so the BPL, XPSL and of cause the PSP, that's what we are looking to play!!

I'd definitly take a trip to the XPSL in Germany. Get in touch with some friends made in Spain for a laugh over there. And finally, have a rotten good lol with those crazy Irish folk.

OK, so I guess what I was aiming at with the thread was to see if, with no MS, British paintball might be strengthened, with Brit ballers opting to play domestic events instead.

My feeling is that if the UK teams just train for MS, and play MS, then there is no room for a proper UK series. If there were a UK series, and the top teams from that series went to play in MS events, that would in my opinion be a better scenario than the current one.

Are any countries going to develop properly, if their top teams don't play competitive paintball in their own country and don't influence other teams in their own country to improve, through playing them in competition.

Twizz, you remember that back in the day there were several different series to play. The bigger teams would attend, even if it were just for practice. The events would often be limited-paint affairs, so there were fixed costs for the teams to work with. Then, the best of these teams might go play Toulouse, or Campaign.
Now, teams are being expected to play all MS events, and have no money to play in the UK.

For me, the teams should play a complete domestic season, and then pick other events that they can afford to attend outside of the country after this is covered. The whole thing is backwards, and I feel UK paintball is suffering because of this.

Of course, of everyone that answered, no-one woudl play in the UK even if there is no MS, and thats a bad sign.

To be fair, this year most of the UK Millennium teams have played domestic series, including the likes of Nexus, Tigers, The Firm, Entity etc. Most respondents probably haven't considered just playing UK events, with this in mind view the question posed as "where else would you play as a substitute".

Playing a season of overseas events is, unfortunately, a bit of a pipe dream for most. due not only to the costs but the amount of time away from regular employment too.
