Well just cruised in from this event, been there from friday and thought id make a thread so people can put all their feedback in, things people liked, and constructive critisism on things that could have been better.

While I was there as mainly a spectator this is what I gathered.

Site - Nice flat place to play on, lots of room for parking, camping, vendors. The only downside being the location is kinda annoying to get to, in trafic its about 45 minutes away from any major motorway. However on my way back tonight it was very quick as the route I took was deserted.

Marshals - Seemed great all weekend, didn't hear anything untill near the very end when a difficult call was made. Other than that the marshalls seemed to get a load of appreciation this weekend.

Scheduling - Seems to be the biggest gripe, but this from what I saw has been taken in by the appropriate people and will be fixed next event I hope :)

Food - Fantastic, thankyou to the caterers for providing good quality and prices.

Layout - I think could have been done slightly better, getting a good view of the second feild was a fair annoyance, I think using one of the other 3 unused feilds would have allowed to better viewing of the second feild.

The tradestands - Repeating what pete said in his speach, but thanks for showing your support. I know some couldnt be there due to world cup but for those which did turn up, was great to see your support.

The organisers - Great all around, site was kept clean all weekend, thankyou to Wendy and Chris for their help.

The teams - Cheers for turning up :)

The people I met - thanks for not killing me :D

And finally, a big thankyou to Pete, I don't think anyone can disagree that without him this would have never materialised in the quality it did for a first event. If this was a starting benchmark, and it only gets better, we have good times ahead :)

i think the food tent was a absolute winner. some where to site have a chat and some where to eat it with out it being plonked on your lap. that has beaten CC.

Were we at the same event the fields dipped so much in the middle you could see straight over the pins, though it was the same from each end it didnt effect the game too much.

The judges......... well some were interesting.

I thought the venue was well laid out, a fair amount of vendors for a national event food tent and drink was fairly priced.
not a bad locations, for some reason there are allot of cheap hotels near by shame about the locals though.

thank you to wendy, robbo and everyone else who was involved in this, it was a very good event. terrible weather on saturday but very nice today so kind of made up for it.

one thing i'd like to say is the fact that only the top 8 teams in xball make it through to sunday. yes its a competetive event but i still think that no matter what place you come in you still play on the sunday. since we warped xball 2 didnt make it through to sunday it really put some of us down.
but apart from that it was a crackin event! ohh and thank you to uk hitmen for letting me guest for the sat afternoon/sun mornin.

if 20 teams had entered the event it still would have only be top 8 go through

From what I could see the "dip" in the feilds was even both sides, having not played I cant comment if one side was more unfair which as I said in my first post...

While I was there as mainly a spectator this is what I gathered
scheduling? Well having been there when SEVERAL people including event staff mentioned scheduling problems, yes I thinkso.

Marshalling? Well when I was watching I agreed with most marshalls desisions, the only thing I disagreed with sometimes is when I thought people should have been 241'ed or even 341'ed and only a 141 was called.

I would also like to point out.

put all their feedback in, things people liked, and constructive critisism

All I see in your post is saying you disagree with what I say but nothing to follow up with those points.

Just following on from Ali, it was disappointing that we were unable to get to the finals on Sunday - yes, it was a competitive xball event, and by far the most competitive event that I've played this year, however I did ask myself 'why couldnt the two bottom teams play each other on Sunday'. There maybe valid reasons for this, however I felt the lads would have enjoyed the event more if we were included in the Sunday schedule.

On a positive note... awesome to see so many good teams involves in one event.
