I think Mikey your living in a dreamworld if you expect the Millennium to respond here. They won't. And Piper isn't "sticking up" for them, but is correcting inaccuracies. This thread might be a real gripe thread but at least it brings out what people aren't happy about, and the amount of posts indicates how wide spread the feelings are.

Perhaps the Federation, can bring it to their attention. The Millennium, or members of the Millennium have a presence within the Federation don't they ?? (Not sure on this)

If not then Im quite sure our Lord and Master Robbo can have a quiet little word in Barry Fuggles ear about the benefits of improving the Campaign Cup in the interests of UK paintball and the Millenniums interests. Hell I nearly went to both compliment and give constructive criticism to Barry Fuggle myself, but he was in meetings in the GI Milsim tent. I did speak to someone at the bar from the Millennium. Can't remember who he is, older gentlemen. Im sure he was in the Malaga Eurosport 2 programme.

The Federation has no influence whatsoever on the Millennium and never will have, nor should it.

As for me having a word?
I do have words with them all the time, I talk to those guys quite a lot but as for how much they listen to me?
Well, that's another story, who knows?

I think they do but I can't keep fighting other people's battles, somewhere along the line guys, you have to organise yourselves and I know this has been tried before but why the hell should I keep 'having a word' when the paintball fraternity can't even be bothered to help themselves?

Maybe the Federation is the embodiment of 'our last chance' because if things like the Fed Cup isn't supported by the backbone teams of the UK, then what the fcuk?????

What sort of message does that send out to the very people who are trying to help UK Paintball?
We shall see what happens ......... I wanna be surprised, I really do!!!

Loved it, quit whinging and shoot people..... Nuff said ;)
Psycho, I know your post was said 'tongue in cheek' but I also think its worth noting that if people pay good money to be somewhere then they have every right to say what they want, within reason.... as long as it's a genuine concern that is.

you wont have to wait to long from what i hear

Im not sure what to make of this, I meant of it as if everyone packs in at the first thing they don't like then we wont get very far.

But I am hoping the Fed cup will address these issues before they arrise as to keep everyone happy, as well as taking on feedback from teams on how to make it better event on event.

Ok well i am not sure what the guy with the problem with at the start of all this has had with ulirc, and i would like to know because what was the point of coming on to a forums and talking about it?

As i have said in other post's i think it was the malaga one we get on ok with ulric he has been nothing but nice with us being a new team in div 1 he has come over to see if we are ok at every single event.

He must have one of the hardest jobs in the MS to be the face of it and take the brunt of god knows how many players and teams when things go wrong so we have no problems with him.

The event its self was ok wasn't great but i dont think it was a bad one.

But for a major tournament i would expect more bang for your buck, it was really just like a local 2 day event.

The field were ok but going back to what fish said some places in the field were really bad these are some from the div 1 field it was full of rocks.

and this is from the div 2 field which was about 5 steps to the left at the start gate.

Some of the comments about the food vendors were true it was a rip off, and for some one to try and justify it by saying" its not much different from a football game" well do you think that football players pay 3 quid for a manky burger???

I think we do need some line of communication with the ms so as players we know that they are taking it on board, i still have a problem with how they were so flippant about malaga with ending the statement with some thing like ""well if you can get the weather to change then do so" or some thing along them lines,

I am just about to write and email to the ms saying we cant attend turkey because we just cant afford it, we were counting on a loan but we cant get that ether now so we just cant get there for less than £700 quid per player, and other deals are there but not all of us can take a full 7 days off work, and no for them to offer a $5000 first prise for div 2 and $3000 for m5 i think you can tell they know they are not going to get the number's but wont offer any thing extra to div1 or spl or cpl cause they know they are locked in.

I think that mikey d and fish have made some valid and very good points only to be shot down with one liners.

As storngle has pointed out it is a business, but dont you think it is good practice to show some respect to your customers by making it a better business?

and the comment about the nppl going broke because of the place they held the events, the nppl didn't go broke it was the company behind it that went bust so the whole thing had to wrap up, if it was the nppl that went broke why are another company starting to run it again at the same venue?

IMHO the Millennium need to increase the trade show as its decreased every year that I've been. I know that they have to make money and charge for vendor space but they are shooting themselves in the foot every time by not either slashing their prices for the smaller vendors or just cutting costs for traders across the board to entice more trade vendors in so that they make the money up from more people at a lower price.
Just so you know, the vendors make little money at these events, if any. It is not a money making venture at all, far from it, and infact they probably spend money by being there.

Planet Piper away from you freaks!
Markie if you read what Mikey said which was hordes of spl teams did not show up, then your argument is a waste of typing time. Does not matter that teams did not play the first line squad they showed up and that is the argument the amount of teams!

You might wanna look into that a little more mate. PP and NPPL were pretty much one and the same thing, if one doesn't make money, neither does the other. And the people taking over are only doing the events that were succesful. But that's another story anyway, so let's ignore that in this thread.
