The reffing on the Div1 Field was horrid although the head Marshal has to be commended for actually talking to the players instead of being imposing and difficult to talk to and he was the only one who made calls and got on the right side of players to see hits go in, I thought all these reffs were 'Euro Reff's' or professional reff's - at the price at which teams have to pay for paint and entrance and a home event, it was no fun.

I saw a Div2 game with Tigers 2 play where they had to play about 15 points before the final score was finished! 2 fulse starts which were played all the way to the end AND then the teams were told they didn't count, 4 points where both teams started on the same end onsecutively - don't get me wrong it was fun to watch the games played, but think about this from a players view if you thought you've won and you have to go back on the field, lose a point and have to play another point its not that fun.

BTW I do think the title is a little unfair - we want food, we got it! its not down the Ulrich to dictate food prices to the vendors

I from Basildon and i'm used to muggings but this was on a new level!

£5 for just a 1/2 lb burger and £2 for a drink ahhhh i went with the idea £10 for lunch I pooed myself at the prices i then got a ice cream and i should have learnt and i ended up getting done over again.

on saturday was Robbo there wearing a grey Dye t-shirt? me and my mate saw this bloke.. could have been him and we sat there for a while discussing weather it was with him or not.
I remember one year in Amsterdam where security were searching (or trying to) kit bags for food and drink not purchased inside the venue. Needless to say there were alot of p*ssed off ballers kicking off at the gates, with large security types trying to take away their 6packs 2L bottles water.

In the venue all you could buy was £5 rat burger, £2.50 chips, £3.00 water or £5 beer. Oh and another stall was selling floppy old pizza slices for about £3. Real food of the gods!

Totally disagree. Yeah fair dos stuff was a bit steep, but it's a eurpean championship event. What do u expect? I'M sure food etc is just as bad at a prem footy game.

Venue was a bit out of the way, but the fields were good, flat and even. But reet fair where do you expect to be playing? I'm sure there's nowhere in the centre of london to play. It's paintball ffs, untill the sport gets big enough that there are purpous built stadiums are built were gonna be playing in feilds! Wether your playing somewhere high profile or out in the sticks your still playing the same layout and your still shooting the same people.

If you don't like it so much then don't go!

This is the most... f*cked up? post ive seen in a while. What you are suggesting makes no sence and is just freaking retarded.

Right it is not a prem football game, not by a long shot, and at any event the prices are "slightly" higher than normal no matter where you go, but these prices do NOTHING to help UK ball apart from give it another kick. Ok once things have picked up and these events (all uk events, or shall i rephrase to, all events in the uk) draw a consistant, growing croud then sure, maybe some higher prices could be somewhat justified, but these prices as they are just cause more harm than good in my eyes.

If you don't like it so much then don't go!

Nice attitude, perhapps if we get everyone on this line of thought things will get so much better?

Well, if someone expected the same prices they get at their local chippy...that's where they should have went... The laws of supply and demand apply always...Anyways, food was ok in taste.

Yeah I suppose when they said it was a field in Basildon the least they could do is make it field in Basildon and not a field outside Basildon! :D
To be fair it was like 1....2 miles from Basildon so claiming its Basildon is slightly easier than saying Noak Bridge where everyone will go "Huh where ??"

Personally I thought the event was really good, definitely NOT perfect, but very good. Layout was good, desk staff were friendly and helpful, (Suzy, Wendy, and everyone else whose names I didn't get,) and were great to deal with. Ref's on the M5 side were a bit stand offish at first but they warmed up when they realised we were not going to get lippy and have childish temper tantrums over possible bad calls. And they went easy on things like one of our players dropping her barrel sock on the floor at game start instead of putting it in her pocket.

Food was good, although over-priced but its a captive market and lets be honest you can't blame the Millennium for the prices as its the individual vendors who set their prices. (I wasn't the only one to notice the Ice Cream van didn't put prices up) However the bar was nice and "cheap" and friendly.

Trade show, what there was of it was great. Although it was even smaller than last year and that was really disappointing. JT have gone from a huge marquee to a tent the size of a portaloo. Tomahawk had a trailer last year and this year had a tiny tent with a few boxes of paint on and no one tending it most of the time (from what I saw.) Kee and Smart Parts were very noticeably absent, as where all the smaller vendors who should be there.

Parking and access was good, and plenty of loo's dotted around. I liked the site and found it easy to get to.

The new inflatable fields were really good, (especially for leaning on on the M5 player side of the field to watch.)

IMHO the Millennium need to increase the trade show as its decreased every year that I've been. I know that they have to make money and charge for vendor space but they are shooting themselves in the foot every time by not either slashing their prices for the smaller vendors or just cutting costs for traders across the board to entice more trade vendors in so that they make the money up from more people at a lower price.

Presuming this is somewhat in relation to the happenings in division 2, then yes, issues were raising around the similar subject, on a few occasions and were dealt with in perhaps not the best way.

Only after these issues being reiterated by two teams was some action taken, however the solution provided seemed to be for the there-and-then, and didn't actually address the issue of a team that was denied a wildcard entry into Sunday club; however the team that played them in the first knock-out round went through instead (the nature of the ban would suggest it would be imposed, as if it was from the start of the event, so it seems they may well've dropped the ball here) but logistically re-jigging the whole draw and re-playing knock-out games from Sat eve to get that 17th placed team into Sunday club may well have not been possible.

Anyway, that was a bit vague for a few reasons: I'm tired; if you don't know the happenings then I'm not going to muddy any names or go into details; and I may well be incorrect as to what you're talking about, as I believe your post was less revealing than mine. To be honest, I also don't mind so much... we won... if the draws had ended up different, then maybe we wouldn't have, we'll never know.

Oh, and remember, Ulrich is the face of the Millenniums, and is paid to not only make the decisions, but also take the **** from us and the proverbial fan, if he didn't have a good issue:success rate, then they'd look elsewhere.
