Do you reckon they stuck a spring in there so you can lower the dwell as the spring will push the bolt forwards using less air? softer and more efficient?

I assume the spring absorbs some of the impact of the bolt on the ball, meaning it's really soft on paint. They claim a gentle push of the ball at the start of the cycle, I reckon that spring does just that - then the air comes in for full acceleration.

I know almost jack all about bolt functioning though, that's just the impression I get from the video.
