I think you misunderstood my post. I said that I thought most people would buy a used earlier model of a high end matrix instead of buying a new PMR. That's why i'd imagine they're getting poor sales. It's a case of, "Oh, I haven't got enough money for the latest marker, so i'll run this one until i need spares or buy a similar older marker".

Ah, I get it.

They're being outcompeted by the second hand market and the longevity of their own products, and I'm guessing that demand for £300-£500 markers has dropped so low that they're not bothering to produce them any more.

Well, that was my take on it. The lower end is cheap enough for people not to worry about the slight price difference (plus anything second hand at that price is normally fairly dodgy) and the high end is shiny and too irresistible for mere mortals.

You're definitely 100% irrefutably right, because there is zero chance that the paint in the hopper didn't actually come from that box.

And you know that Proto box didn't contain .50cal because it didn't have .50 cal written on the side of the box in 3" white letters (which I believe is industry standard for .50cal)

Some more will know after the dealer viewings a CC & Expo next week
The rest will probably have to wait until WC for the full unveil
