So now they have entry level and high level markers, with nothing in between?Yeah, with the pmr line being discontinued they'll need a new entry level line to replace it, although I always thought they were dropping the pmr to boost DM sales
Huh? What do you consider midrange? The PMR? I'd imagine people are more likely to go for a used PM/DM than a new PMR. Am I wrong? So now they have entry level and high level markers, with nothing in between?
Why would dye drop their mid range markers? It doesn't make sense for them to drop out of the midrange market, I thought proto were doing well in that area.
Unless they are releasing a new midrange series which nobody knows about...
You're wrong if we're talking solely about first hand purchases, which is what Dye will be thinking about. Second hand is of no worth to them unless it's them selling it.Huh? I think you misunderstood my post. I said that I thought most people would buy a used earlier model of a high end matrix instead of buying a new PMR. That's why i'd imagine they're getting poor sales. It's a case of, "Oh, I haven't got enough money for the latest marker, so i'll run this one until i need spares or buy a similar older marker".You're wrong if we're talking solely about first hand purchases, which is what Dye will be thinking about. My point is that they previously had markers in the entry, mid range and high levels. They discontinued the PM series last year and are discontinuing the PMR range this year - they seem to be backing out of the mid range market, and I can't understand why. Maybe I'm being dense.
