Smart parts ion/sp8 board

Am I right in thinking that the Ion and Sp-8 use the same board?

My board is damaged (missing yellow LED,) and I'm wondering if I should:
1. Sent it back to Smart Parts. For a new board, how much would this cost?
2. Try to solder new LED in.
3. Try to get an ion board from BST section, and install it - how difficult is this?

DO NOT TRY AND SOLDER, less you do it for a living.

id go for a board on the classifides.
if your only after a stock board, you can get them for around £10 - £15
instillation is as easy as pie.
if you need step by step inscructions, ill type them out for you, or if your down at any tornys, someone there may be able to help out.

(as far as i know SP8 has the same board)

The sp8 does use the same board as the ion, but as stated already, look through the forsale section, theres always someone selling one.
