Event details.

Mark and myself have just done the draw for the teams with some interesting results.

The prelims will be split into 3 groups. The top 2 from each group wil progres through to quarters with the two highest scoring 3rd placed teams. In the event of a matching point difference it will go on points scored. If that is level then a head to head race to 2 play off will be held.

Only players and support crew will be permitted in the stagging areas with a valid pass.

Vendor paint only supplied at the event.

Games will start at these times. Please allow plenty of time to be processed in admin and set up.

Sunday will start at 10.30 for quarters.

Millennium rules SPL race to 4 points, 10 min game time for the prelims, then we will go to race to 5 points, 15 min time limit for quarters and semi's with the final being a 20 min race to 7 points.

All teams are asked to present themselves in the best possible light and act in a responsible manor. There will be a zero tolerance policy to bad or unsporting behaviour. We all like a bit of passion in the game but excessive bad language and arguing with refs/staff will not be tolerated and the individuals will face ejection from the event and exclusion from future events.

All teams are asked to keep there stagging areas as tidy as possible, black bags and bins will be provided.

Car Parking.
No vehicles are allowed on the promenade but car parks are a 5 min walk away. Just follow the signs for the South Pier and then follow on foot for pleasure beach or south pier. There is also a car park next to the casino.

Or best bet is to park at your hotel and walk down/tram.

saturday night.

as requested by and on behalf of of Rich and Mark i have organised the 'quiet few beers' for the sat night!

free entry before 11.30pm into coco and che bar with the paintball 'pass'.

doors open 10pm coco
12am - 4am che bar

music - anything goes, party, chart, dance and R&B. (you never know, i may even jump on and play a few)!

dress code - smart/casual, no trackies, hoodies, hats. smart trainers ok.

please take id with you, as if you get turned away we cannot do anything about it for u.

im sure rich and mark will drill this into us all but please be aware that we are still representing the sport and balls out promotions when we are all out, so please act responsibly as i assume the same rules apply for bad behaviour on the night out as they do on the field! as well as rich analy probing offenders

Just to echo what has already been said, we will be acting as Ambassadors of the paintball community when we are the guests of Blackpool this weekend, so try to keep this in mind and reflect this in your behaviour both on and off the field.

I'm not saying that we can't all go out on Saturday night and have a drink or two, but remember who you are and why you are in Blackpool and behave accordingly.

We want to show the general public how professional we are, and what a great sport paintball is, so we get invited back year after year.

So, don't act likeTodd Martinez in a golf cart. On crack.

That said, enjoy yourselves. It's a party.

And don't worry about the weather - we are playing on astroturf, remember.

If it rains - do like Billy Wing does.

Also anyone caught bringing paintball into disrepute or causing problems in blackpool this weekend will have their access to this forum terminated.

At least 4 members of the Moderating team will be in attendence over the weekend so we will find out if there are any problems.
