From seeing a couple of your previous posts have you got an IM9?

If so, it has the BWing bolt fitted. Mine is running at 1 1/4 turns out.

Billy Wing from PBNation said:
Turn your ABS on
Set trigger sensitivity to 1
Set Dwell to 19
Service your bolt kit real well, change the 014 in the top hat and the 017 in the can.
Turn your LPR down until the gun barely cycles and go to chrono.
Check your velocity, if it doesn't shoot give the lpr a 1/4 turn out.
Turn the LPR up 1/4 turn at a time until your velocity stops going up and is consistant.
Every time you adjust the LPR take three clearing shots to make sure the LPR is reset, then chrono.
Once the velocity levels off only use the Hyper reg to adjust velocity.

Now go play, if you don't get first shot drop off all day then you should never touch your LPR again.
If you get some first shot drop off then give the LPR 1/4 turn up.

At this point if your gun ever starts having problems service the bolt kit, don't adjust you LPR.

Hope this helps,
Billy Wing
this is pretty much universal for all proper matrixes :)

Or alternatively if you want your marker running sweet you can give it to me to sort out.

...i'm not gonna give it back, but i'll get it shooting great haha

if it is shooting ok then leave it as is. I'm assuming its still quite new, and yet to bed in fully until it does there is little point busting your balls trying to set it up perfectly.

Once it's had 20 odd cases through it follow the guide in my previous post to get it setup perfectly, until then just rock it as is.

o.k mate thanks for that! the thing is that i mess about it before shooting, as i dont have a garden, so when it comes to the big game, i dont wanna spend all day trying to fix it, lpr setting are all messed up!

what i have done is turned the LPR all the way down until it doesnt cycles, then turnned it slowly unit it cycles, by just looking down the feed neck i can see it cycle, but only sometimes it sticks for like a 0.5 seconds then goes back in. do i turn it up or down? also is the LPR setting to do with the efficiency?

Am i right i thinking that the once i get the LPR right, then i can adjust the Velocity?

sorry about all these silly question you can tell i'm new to this.

I ask all these question because simply i dont understand it! i have spent alot of money and do not wanna go wrecking the marker

A perfectly tuned lpr will reduce kick and make the gun softer on p8nt. It should increase efficiency too but if that is your sole aim you'd be better taking a different approach to get there.

Yes once the lpr is set, use the hpr to adjust velocity to around 10 fps below the site limit.

If you've already mucked about with the lpr, then when you have access to a chrono and paint just follow the guide i've given you in my earlier post. should only take 15 mins or so.

*i'll wager his has had more paint through it so is more bedded in

gonna jump in on this post as recently bought a dm8 and reset the LPR, but i simply screwed it all the way in, then wound out the screw 5 truns like it said in the manual.. however it seems to kick much more than my dm7..

as i dont have access to a chrono unitll my next tourney- dont really want to be fiddling with it then  can anyone give me a good setting that they have their dm8 running on that i can try?
