If anything I was quite pleased that the security services seemed to be clued up to it.

With the new anti terrorist laws they can say just about anything is terrorist material. It's crazy.

Imitation firearms...airsoft guns?
adapted fireworks...smoke grenades?
politically sensitive material...a library book?
You give me some some fireworks and I can adapt them into something very deadly and with a couple of airsoft guns I'll give you a nice stampede of happy shoppers towards it.
The library book...I'd probably use as a door stop:eek:

While things are still happening fairly infrequently, I reckon a lot of people will fall into the 'It'll never happen to me' way of thinking. Which is fair enough because statistically it probably won't. But that won't be much comfort if it does and trust me, then you'll be scared.
I say go about your life as normal but be vigilant. You'd be surprised how much intelligence is just randomly phoned in that saves lives.

My initial post was to show that almost anything could be classified as useful to terrorists.

Combined with a dig at the use of torture by our allies and, possibly, us.

But that's another thread altogether.
