With the recent terror raid and the arrests that came with it I was just wondering, does it scare people?

Some of the potential targets being close to my home (e.g. Trafford Centre) it kind of hit me that I could have been a victim. Yet strangely...it doesn't scare me. Maybe thats just my frame of mind. What are other peoples thoughts?

On a lighter note, don't know if any of you saw some of the armed officers making the arrests on the news. It was actually me, I stormed in there and it went something a little like this:

Me: "Get your ass on the ground you're under arrest"
Terrorist Suspect: "PAH, thats just a paintball gun"
Me: "Its an SLG 09 and i'm not affraid to use it"

...

Me: "Its got a mother****ing ULTRALITE FRAME!!!"
<Terrorist Suspect trembles in his shoes and gives up>

We all know paintball defeats terrorism at the end of the day

Lived with terrorism most of my life, so no it doesn't scare me. Thats not intended to make me sound all big and bad, not scared of anything, it has just been a part and parcel of our daily grind over here for so long, if we worried about it we wouldn't leave the house.

I dont think he was implying its made up, i think he was implying these things happen at just the right moments for some politicians. For example how the raids were bought forward and the hoo haa with the top dog in CT for the police.

...and other policemen killing unarmed men from behind with no provocation.
not to mention (allegedly) witholding evidence and misleading the IPCC, the CT hoo ha certainly shifted the alleged assault from the top spot of the headlines.

Very uncool, I was there (not at the moment of the attack) during the day. The police were out of control, it was obvious something bad was going to happen.

As regards OP, I'm no more scared now than I was before, which is not much. The chances of being caught up in anything like that are infinitesimally small. I live and work in central london, it goes with the territory.
