Had a re think and revoked my statement

I, like you, hate this nanny state we live in, and i have looked at all the points you made.

Out of date untested bottles are technically no less safe than a tested bottle, but, and this is the important part.

A tested bottle conforms to the required safety standards, and is legal to use.

So to avoid any unfortunate incidents or miss-information regarding the legality and miss-use of bottles, and to protect the newer members, this common sense rule has been brought in.

how about a new sub thread (like graveyard) for out of test bottles and broken markers, that way people know what they are getting into?

I dont think these bottles should be given to the public so how about the sale of bottles in the plat forum?

i agree, a new section for out of date bottles would be a good idea. As people who want to buy an out of test bottle, which is still eligible for a re-test, can buy them and get them retested.

Good call, instead of asking the buyer to gamble 40 quid or whatever (or perhaps a body part!) get it tested and sell it for more! Just pass your costs on to the buyer like many other businesses.....then maybe add a bit more...like planet x

I totality agree with the decision tom made it costs £25 for a bottle test get it done then sell, its not so much the people with the knowledge thats the problem its the new guys thinking they have a bargain try and fill it the bottle goes bang kills someone SAFETY FIRST GUYS.

Excuse my ignorance and my poor spelling (nightshift and im tired ).me being a newbie to this here fun of paintballing, i agree with newbies not known about tests for bottles but as i scuba dive as well, my air cyclinders need tested just the same as paintball bottles.Just like on the dive forums you can only go off what is seen in a F/S add but it comes down to listening to the advice of people who know about the sport and don't want to see new people hurt by getting poor quality stuff.sorry to go on so much i will now shut up
