Did you all forget we're in a credit crunch?... Not knowing where planet manufactures from, their suppliers might have raised costs, in turn meaning planet has to raise costs. Shipping costs have gone up recently as well i believe if Planet manufacture abroad. It all adds up.

Planet have to pay their staff and bills. If the guns have to be more expensive so be it.

Or it could all be a mistake in the pricing, who knows?

edit: well there you have it. The weak pound means planet aren't getting the bang for their buck they used to. Suck it up chaps, im sure this won't be the only price increase this year from any supplier.

Planet Piper away from you freaks!
just spoke to a girl at planet she said prices are right as they buy things in dollars and sell mainly in dollars because the exchange rate is so poor at the moment, they have had to put there prices up .Looks like an sl94 is £1400 then

maybe someone from planet can comment on it please
Same for me and Kingman (who I work for) our prices have gone up a lot from last year due to manufacturing costs and the dollar, you all forget that the dollar is the main currency the industry works in, so when it's good everyone benefits when it's bad we all suffer. Plus 90% of the manufactures buy material 9-12 months in advance so when their prices goes up it takes a while for the increases to show within the industry, add in the poor dollar and costs have gone through the roof.

How are you all enjoying your economic stimulus?

Just about ALL consumer products have had price hikes of 10-20% in the last few months, due to the exchange rate and the general shaftedness of the economy. Paintball is not immune from that.

I can understand a cost increase for the 09 markers but for an ETEK noid to go from £60ish to over £100 is just crazy!

Its not just the markers that have increased, everything on their site has, even a bottle of lube has gone up.

its no april fools these are the correct prices due to the dollars shocking exchange rate.
i work for a car parts company and its actually cheaper for us to buy stuff in the uk than abroad at the moment.

all the top end guns are well worth there values.

lets be honest if they don't make a profit on what they sell then they go out of business. can't happen:eek:

If they buy ANYTHING in dollars be it their own gear or anyone elses, or if the company they buy it from buys it in dollars and then sells it on the price will still go up. Look at the dollar rate and how it has changed over the last few months.

In November it was 1.7 dollars to the pound............ today it is around 1.4 dollars to the pound. So something that cost $170 (100 pounds) in november now costs 121 pounds plus shipping plus import duties VAT etc. Dollar rate has a huge influence on the cost of goods.
