It means that planets production costs have gone up due to the current exchange rate so the extra cost has been passed onto the customer.

Must means Dye's production, shipping and material prices havent been affected as bad or we just havent had the increase passed on to us yet.

And no, paying twice as much for the SL over the DM doesnt mean it will shoot twice as good!

Just means it has cost more to produce.

Could be a couple of things:
DYE bought a LOT of materials prior to the price increase or lilke you say they have just not seen it yet. But I am sure the price will go up due to the materials going up.

Feel free to laugh at my ignorance but I thought the value of Aluminum would go down with falling energy costs?

Isnt it the all important Chinese labour costs that have gone up with the dollar-pound value rather than materials?
What you say is true....... However China bought about 60% of the worlds aluminum about a year ago, as that industry works way ahead of itself, so order now get in about 9-12 months. So we are still working off the more expensive stuff :D

Also just some useless facts for you......... China also bought up 80% of the worlds concrete and 70% of the worlds steel!

God love China!

I have a friend (just the one) that sells washing machines for a living and he got notification from Whirlpool that their washing machines where going up 40% effective........ Immediate, now he is lucky as he bought a lot before the increase but when he buys more 40% on top! So it is all industries not just paintball.
