But doesn't that seem sort of irresponsible? Bringing kids up with everything they could ever want, so they don't understand how others feel when they don't get what they need, don't understand how to use their money responsibly, and don't understand the consiquences(sp?) of wasting cash.i'd make sure my children/family wanted for nothing.

Of course, that would only really happen if the remaining parent was lax and the children were very young, but it just sounds like an instant recipe for spoilt brats who never grow up.
