What will be with the Cambuslang Site?

I already had bought new gun and now i can see that on the cambuslang site is some problems with owner.I been ther just ask if they can fill me the air just for test my new marker and it was realy big problem for them i spoke with them about 20 minutes and still same No we can`t no we can`t:confused::confused::confused:. So i can image what they think about training or turnaments play. If some1 have some ideas let me know . I`d like play because my gun is little dusty.:) Regards

glasgow
i think the only time we will be able to use this place will be on week nights, it would be good if we got a set night to go and play like the real karters practice at the clydebank track.

but i dont think were gonna have sunday paintball in glasgow/edinburgh till one of us sets up a site here. even then i dont even think how ever does it will make their money back on it cos we havent exactly got a huge player base that will play every sunday unless theyre actually is and we just dont have a place to play

player base ?

ive got myself 2 teams together, 10 people that would be willing to go down anytime to play, so i mean ,what another 3-4 teams an we got a tournament. i mean the sport is expanding really really fast, for example, in the space of 2 months i got together 10 people ,with relitivly no expierience together then started 2 teams, and through this people in my school have reliezed that it is something that they want to do... so just watch this space, im going to do everything that i can to have regular tourny style paintballing at this scotkart place(providing the owners will be flexibl with us,which i cant really see happning) :D

I was the one you spoke regarding getting your air filled, this has nothing to do with being helpful.... as i told you on the day its an insurance thing. On a personal note.... i dont know who you are, as far as im concerened you could have been out to assassinate me and filled the bottle with oil :D im not taking any chances.

This is very hard to understand.
Every other country which has paintball fields manages to balance Punter and Tourney players.
why are these 2 fields either incapable or unwilling?
paint can be bought in bulk for far less than 25 pound a box(Bulk) and can be sold for 40 (for example) and we will still pay it! or even more! But charging
6-7 pounds per pot to people who are wanting to either try the sport or really play regularly is just incomprehensible.
I understand that their is a profit margine and that during the recession money is hard to come by but surely the owners of these sights must see that they are missing out on a large part of the players by being so single tracked using their current business plans.
Where i come from (Germany) where the ban has just been put off again (THANK GOD) i know an owner of a field whos making a good amount of money for himself.
Hes only open 5 hours every evening during the week and 10 on weekends.
and paint is 50 euros per box (DXS Rec)
all players pay that without a flinch even the people who just come for a "one off fun". 3 Teams play regularly there and many people come just for a try and tourney players and rental people even play together(unfair i know:p) So i dont see why this trend for overpriced paint has kicked off SOO hard in the UK. If somebody would like to explain i would be very glad.(dont just say "cause it makes more money" :) )
coming back to the point.
A field in this area would probably see 3-5 maybe even more teams on a regular basis(2-3 times a month) and more interested clients following. If each member pays 15 pounds field fee and i doono say 40 pound per box its expensive yes. but paintball is an expensive sport... and it means owners can make their profit and people who want to elevate their game can do so without jeperdizing the field owners existance!

Would be great if either of the two fields that have been discussed in this thread would agree to some kind of pricing to keep the community of this sport alive in Scotland!

Cheers
