Is it when your body cant take it or you lose intrest, i am the later, i dont get a buzz from stepping on the field anymore. I was playing the masters in feb very good torny we came second had a good day, but to me every game felt ... boring

and to anyone that has quit but still frequents the forums do you regret it? =]

I quit for a number of years, combination of developing a lack of interest (not enjoying myself) and going out on the lash / chasing the ladies being what I thought to be more interesting, glad I did tho as my life would have been pretty boring had I spent all my money playing.

That said tho you can put too much pressure on yourself about your game and as such lose the enjoyment, go back to your roots try to rediscover what you found fun about the game in the first place. Now that I'm back I just pick and choose what I want to play and how serious I want to take it.

Maybe a break will do you some good and get your head together, just don't leave it too long like I did and lose touch with a lot of great people. That's my biggest regret. That said tho these days you can still stay in touch and not be a player. Don't be a stranger mate you got my number!

It's a no brainer really, if you've lost interest, you've lost interest end of.
I suspect you've tried the other paintballing scenes ie scenario, mil-sim etc and have no interest there?
I've recently given up off roading for the same reason. I would be out on a run with a group of mates, wishing I had taken the dog for a walk instead!
Time for a break!

Personally, i don't get to play as much as i once did. But when i do i love every second. A break is good for you, it will then make you want to play more. I actually stand on field taking pictures dying to grab someones marker and join in.

I got sick of the travel, the expense, feeling wrecked on a Monday morning, and was playing more in the end out of habit rather than enjoying it. To be honest I think it was caused by playing pretty much every weekend (training and tournaments) for about 3 year. Have now had 18 months off and am itching to play again.

In my time off I missed the crack more than the playing to be fair.

Paintball is too expensive a hobby to do if you aren't enjoying it...

You could go the other way, and play at a higher level. Xball, Milleniums, the U.S?

I suppose it's a lot of money if you really have lost interest though.

Possibly have a break and coach / ref though?

Hope you decide to stay around :)
