cost vs play time, tournament sup air i just not worth it.

Walkon days are where the fun is, and the attitudes are far better.:)

I 'gave up' because I was sick of the attitudes of certain, self-important 'people'. That, and the fact that my knee was shot due to sliding in to a metal peg (I guess they had run out of plastic ones).

But - paintball is in your blood - you never really 'give up', you just change direction (look at Robbo for example). For him, it was managing, coaching, PGi etc (and that's just the bits we know about ;)).

For me, it was managing (I still enjoyed the brief time I ran Upminster Halloween and TBA). Now I have even more involvement, with my son starting playing (and starting his own team).

So, my advice is to take some time out then pop back in about 6 or 12 months - I bet you'll be itching to play again ;).

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Tinkering ain’t easy
I got to the stage a year ago where I was sick of paintball politics, travel and cost. But as said 'paintball is in your blood' when I wasnt playing I was spending more and more time reading about it, spending cash on nicks nacks and generally wishing I was playing.

5 man lost its appeal too me a while back, love my team mates and the craic but stepping on the field had no excitment. Changing format I play has given me the buzz again. Saying that I wouldnt still be playing if it wasnt for the lads around me.
