I think it's good because you don't have to mess about asking for pics all the time or the price .Other forums i go on have same rule pics with name and price in tread or your gone .I've been on one recently and they have a 50 post rule before you can post stuff for sale due to hassle. Don't shoot the messenger because of the idiots .It's them that started this remember

I appreciate that mate - but that's not how it reads.
And there's nothing to stop the seller selling it for the £200 (it's the sellers choice after all). There's also nothing to stop the seller selling it to me for £600 after I've used my superior "tight-wad" haggling skills. There's also (phew) nothing to stop the seller selling it for £900 if someone comes in with a late offer - snatching it from right under my nose (as has happened to me recently).
I do agree that once a gentleman's agreement has been made - then it should be kept to. But, again. that is all down to the seller's conscience.
Anyway, I'm not the mod - you are - and I'll stick by whatever you decide.
the buyer is not the one in control of a sale. this is to cover the seller. say your out for the day, come back and you have two replies in your thread,
items A £35
poster 1 ill offer £30
poster 2 ill offer full asking price £35
poster 2 gets the deal. not the first poster. the seller gets the asking price, if the seller then wants to deal with £30 then fine. but poster one does not control the situation
