i4s are terribly made one ball to the face and your puking up paint for a week
Kirby its paintball, its painful at points, I have had my lips cut by many paintballs, grills and proflex's included and I can assure you I didnt puke.

Just try not to get hit in the mouth... I think when ur buying something your aiming to get hit, I try to think about not getting hit - cos its all that more fun when you finally do.

So lets leave it at, i4s are very well made and look nice and a lot of people like them, E-vents are equally as nice and well made and you like them, now lets not slag off anymore masks and just appreciate nice looking ones here guys!

Having just got hands/face on a pair of I4's on saturday, I gotta say I felt a bit exposed. I have a narrow little face compared to most, and even my jaw was hanging out. I think they make you look like a pigeon too, but that's simply my taste and is irrelevant in discussing the actual quality of the mask. As far as build quality goes, they felt solid and fitted nice and close, but seemed a bit more rigid (nopt hugely, just a bit) than the e-vents I'm used to. I'll add, however, that the rigidity gives them more of a fixed feel on your face, like they won't come off.

In summary: though I think the build quality and fit of the I4's is laudable, I think they're ugly and leave my jaw a bit exposed, and when you play snake you get mugged in the face/neck every now and then making face protection more valuable imo. I'll stick with my e-vents (maybe buy a new pair now the foam is coming off = shoddy build quality) and flex's for now.

agree'd with devrij they do leave your jaw very exposed, my team mate had a set a 2 months ago i think (he got them straight from world cup) and i was talking whilst i had them on and you could see a couple of cm of my chin. i do think that I3's covered alot of your face and then the i4's dont cover as much as they should so i asume the i5's will be in the middle lol.

but at the end of the day whatever suits you best ,i wouldnt swap my proflex's for any pair of goggles :p just because you can make them your own and also very comfy, (well for me anyway)

here is a post by tommy pemberton in reply to a recent thread i started about the i4s

Honestly the I4's are the lightest, comfiest goggle system I have ever worn. They cut tight into the jaw line whilst leaving a good space between the mask and your mouth for great ventilation and communication.
All of Nexus were so happy when we got ours before Paris as the field of vision is notably better than anything else out there.
They won’t be for everyone due to the size; they were designed as an athletic Pro goggle. Hence the reason DYE will continue the I3 Pro, so we will have 2 top of the range goggles to hopefully cater to everyone’s needs.
Hope that helps to explain them further. Keep an eye out over the next week or so as I'm sure a small initial batch will be arriving soon.

if you are scared about being hit in the mouth then its fairly obvious the i4s are not for you. playing paintball at the top level includes a fair amount of pain, and thats the way it should be.

the only thing i would say really, why is it why would the ironmen be using this mask if it were rubbish? :D
