A little OT, but here's an interesting fact about the White House. It was actually burnt down by the British Canadians during the WOI. This was in retaliation for the Yanks sacking Fort York in Toronto.

You will never get an American to admit to this, and the fact is not taught in schools or recorded in any popular History, but yeah, the Brits/Canadians burned down the White house, and it wasn't really that long ago...

You can tell yanks this and they will not believe you, so be sure to make a healthy financial bet before revealing the truth.

again, i know you meant no harm in it, so please dont take it as an attack and again i am sorry for bringing it up.

on another note, it is good to see a black person in the white house, a country such as america has moved on and it is anpther step to people accepting m,ulti culterism into society as a whole :)

Sure, now you want the thread 'cleaned' by the authorities, to remove all traces of evidence. You would probably prefer it gone altogether, so that its just a distant memory.

Dude, if I was white, somebody calling me a cracker would get no rise out of me at all, which is why I am a little shocked by the reactions on here (though they are duly noted and I am sensitive to the fact that people are not cool with this expression in the UK)

.....but if someone called me Vanilla Ice I would fxcking flip out and kill somebody.

I wouldn't give two sh!ts if anybody called me white trash, white crap, a white anything really.
I would react more to the tone of the abuse than whatever it is he was saying.
I don't see the fact i am white as an insult, i am what i am and calling me a white anything is a self-evident observation not an insult.

I can of course feign effrontery and play the race card, and such is the PC environment we now live in, that nobody would ever dare challenge me.
