Well i would of thought brand new batteries would at least turn the rotor ?

btw, its a constant flashy light
Your batteries are fine Tom.

A constant flashing light. What colour is the light flashing? Red?

Have you got the manual for the Halo? It should tell you in there.

Also when you turn it on, try holding down the button for slightly longer. Also try just 'tapping' the button.

You may be inadvertantly be entering programming mode.

Also check that the eye harness is connected to the board ok.

EDIT : Just found out that if you are getting a solid red light then it means the batteries are dead. Were the batteries you used definately brand new? I also suggest trying another set of batteries mate before you pull the loader apart.

ACtually the manual is pretty rubbish and doesnt give the fault codes, also im not in programming mode.

Anyway is a red/green flashy light (slightly colour blind makes things difficult - asked a friend ), the PBnation forums had a breakdown though which are:

My halos board is blinking red and green

Possible ways to fix the issue:
- The batteries are low
- The eyes are dirty or dead
- The board is dieing
- The eyes and motor/battery connectors are in wrong

Definitely not the batteries, and as i haven't used it the eyes are prob not dirty. I also wont be taking it apart because its brand new, ill give the supplier a ring tomorrow,

Update after an 1hr tentatively taking my halo apart. . . .

I spoke to the supplier, who advised me to take the halo apart first and check everything. They said it would not void my warranty or anything. Very nice guy.

So i stripped the halo down, and checked the eyes, they seamed fine. At this point i was still very annoyed, because i was not going to risk stripping it down to the motor. Getting the shell off was a grueling task for me for 1 evenings work. So my next theory was, why dont i spin the motor around a bit and pull the connections in and out. Hey presto ! one of these fine pieces of mechanical/electrical engineering seemed to make the halo work. Wohoo !,

So i believe i am all up and running now guys, i will test the hopper out with some paint on Tuesday. (ccough cough, when i get my mini hopefully:rolleyes:) Still a bit concerned with the motor though it sounds kinda funny.

Thanks for all the help, it was very much appreciated :D

Glad you got it working Tom.

Get a vid up on youtube or something with the motor spinning. We should soon be able to tell you if something sounds odd.
