Have you tried phoning a local removal company? It is possible they may be able to offer some advice.
The guys who delivered it are well versed in such matters and the usual alternatives of doors being taken off and windows removed have already been discounted and so I'm pretty sure my only option is to somehow take the unit apart and then put it back together.
I am truly fantastic at taking things apart (normally with a sledgehammer), problem is, I am cr@p at putting it back together whereby 'er indoors is gonna be anywhere near happy and I'm living in a 'nag fee' zone....... it would probably look like a lump of C4 had gone off inside of it by the time I've finished putting it back together.
But thanks anyway Newboy !

Then you need to look at the construction of the frame. Hopefully you can just unscrew it. The problem will be getting to the frame without damaging materials.:)

Makes you kind of miss MFI... ;).

BTW - do you not have patio/French doors? It's actually quite easy to remove one of those doors. I know, because that's what I had to do when we moved.
Yes I have...and you are right, I could easily take them out.........but there is one small technical problem that has to be considered here.....they are in a different room :)

It can usually be any of 4 things. Metal brackets nailed in keeping the frame together, staples and glue, just nails or just screws. You won't know until you remove the fabric. What I've used before to put the fabric back on is pliers and a staple gun.

this may or may not help very much, but its worth a shot.

once youve carefully taken the fabric off, prise apart the joints, they are normally put together with an adhesive (industrial wood glue of some sort)
but remember, or write down the order you take them apart, so you can put it back together again in the correct order.
Seems a bit of a bitch, but if you carefully prise the joints apart then it shouldnt be too hard to put them back together again and re-attach the fabric.

Probs know this already, but id take apart the corner joints, even if it means the unit will bend so you can get it through the doors and then'slot back together. I dont recomend taking it fully apart...

The only problem with taking it apart is that it will impede on its rigidity and strength and also, not that it matters, affect the guarantee...

as i said, may net be of any help, but it could be...

Thanks Andy, I'm not much of a DIY man really but for the sake of 570 quid I am gonna try and recapture my Lego days ....... my missus ain't looking too confident at the moment and she has that look of 'I told you so' written across her face.

Holy cr@p :(:(

Actually, that's a pretty cool idea in taking it apart just enough to get it into the room ...... hmmmmmmm....thanks for that young man, much appreciated!
