We've already talked about an end of year 'biggie' to round things off but one of the biggest mistakes people make in initiatives like this is to do too much too soon and an end of year big event may be a bit too far this close in.
I'm not too sure about this and will be led by others on the board, mainly Chris and Wendy who will presumably be charged with promoting it along with any others who the board sanction to assist.

I would think something big like this would need the help of people like Jim Frensham and Bully at the very least but we will have to wait and see what comes up on the agenda for the next meeting that is scheduled in late January.

We wanna make sure we don't try to run before we can walk here and so if we err on the side of not exploring every avenue of tournament paintball, you'll have to forgive us, we just don't want this to fail in any way, there is just too much at stake here.
Something like the Euro 5 Man but without me included is what this means!!!!lol

No, not all Warren, hopefully this one will have the backing of the vast majority of the industry over here and a lot of the teams.
I will almost guarantee the former, and I can do this because the industry guys I mention were all sat around the table with me yesterday and confirmed their support.

When they they do that....the teams will follow, if of course they are confident in the event product put before them.

As for your inclusion onto this board, I have already told you, the guys all have industry connections in terms of representing retail outlets or from bigger wholesale concerns, you do not fit into any of those categories and if we had extended the net to include people like yourself, then we woulda had hundreds around that table.

It got bad enough yesterday with the people we had in terms of a multitude of conversations going on; any more than those, and we might as well pack up shop and all go home.
We got the right people to do the right job; we can do no more and we certainly ain't gonna do any less.

It seems co-incidental to me that you bring up Jon's name just after he declined to support your team in the way that was initially asked...... co-incidence warren?
Maybe, maybe not .....

I will answer your question anyway; Jon has supported various teams, held many events, owns / runs 5 sites, has been one of the UK's major paint / hardware wholesalers and has a retail outlet, the latter two being the most important.
As for the use of the word 'skilled', that is not what it's about here, it's about being qualified, and Jon's qualification as far as I am concerned is an array of experience that you do not possess .....but don't get all bent outa shape at that because I don't possess them either.

He is also in a position to support, either financially or in terms of resources, the new leagues we are creating.
A major part of that will be Jon's ability to direct a significant number of teams toward the new leagues, you haven't got that gravitas warren.

If you care to take a look at all the guys on the board, all of them (except me) fall into the criterion I documented in my last post to you.

And so, if you wanna dig anybody out, then I'm your man coz all I've got is 20 year's experience in this sport of ours, 18 years as editor of PGi, blah, blah, blah ...but maybe it might be because I now own P8ntballer.com or maybe because of my good looks, the latter being the most agreeable but unfortunately the least likely.

Good luck anyway and no I am not trying to stir anyone up just think your wrong but that doesn't always make me right!!!lol

PEACE AND LOVE!!!!

If you think I am wrong, it might actually do your cause some good if you explain why you think I'm wrong because at the moment, all you have done is moan that you haven't been chosen, and of course, moaned about Jon Payne's inclusion.
That's not much of a reasoned explanation as to why you think I am wrong.

As for your sites, if what we do stimulates interest and new blood like we all hope it does, then no doubt you will be an indirect beneficiary for both your sites and events.
warren, it might be an idea to wind your neck back in a little and just call me rather than nibbling like this .....that way, nobody can misinterpret what you say or mean.
If as you say, you are not trying to 'stir things up', then my advice is good advice.

If I were you, and I realised that I couldn't make money off 2 sites, and a tournament, I'd be looking for a different line of work mate.

I think that maybe you think Im bothered about my exclusion to the board which is wrong. I dont have the time or energy for it, as for moaning about this and that you are wrong cos I just don't care about paintball in that way anymore.

Yes I think you are right about the nibbling and yes I should call you about this for the reasons you mention above. I have tried calling you over last few months to discuss various things but no joy, have you changed your number??? But to be honest there really is no need to call you on this 1 as I just dont care anymore!!! :)

No doubt somebody will contact me to try to get are team involved with whatever UK league that comes about and if I can I will support it, ill try calling you this week for a catch up let me know your number if its changed via pm........

p.s I am not digging anybody out really Im not & Yes I can be a dick sometimes agreed on that 1!!!!! lol

pps I didn't know John Pain had turned anything with my team down in fact I havent even spoke to him why is that what he said then?

AGAIN PEACE & LOVE

I know this is a small point for those of you that enjoy throwing a mass of paint around inflatables, but what's in it for those that don't?
Is it a paintball federation or a SupAir federation?
