Both are awsome, PS3 will be superior once game makers figure out how to use it to its full potential, and of course online on ps3 is free which is cool. Saying that, im getting an xbox 360 soon, in my opinion the ps3 is not worth it for the games that have been released so far, apart from possibly MGS4.
If i was you I'd stick with the 360 until the price of the ps3 drops and the games are using more of the systems potential.

360 :- 1. Cheap
2. Plenty of cheap games
3. Not too shabby
PS3 :- 1. Built in Blu-Ray Player
2. Graphics are excellent (1080i/1080p/720i/720p)
3. Plenty of games (but not as many as 360)
4. Internet browser
5. Sixaxis/ Dualshock 3 controls are gyroscopic (move the game as you move

360 :- 1. Red Ring Of Death can be quite annoying as customer service isnt that good
2. You have to pay to go online (X-Box Live)
3. No internet browser (unlike PS3)
PS3 :- 1. Price is quite high compared to 360
2. Advantage of Blu-Ray is only good if you have a decent TV and a hell of a lot
of money for Blu-Ray DVD's

I've got both but tend to use the xbox more as all my mates are online.But both are goodForgot to add though i'm on my 4th 360 due to the red ring of death.Just had my elite back major downside.

I Have 360, All I Play is Halo 3 atm. Its Getting borring. I really want Little Big Planet, Anyone played it? is it worth it?

or the premium as you have a HDMI cable port as well as the composite/component cable which will give HD quality
...if by that you mean it requires you to purchase a hdmi cable then youare correct, although you are omitting that the same is true of the PS3, as it is supplied with the same cable that the PS2 came with.
