I think somebody should definitly contact the likes of Delta Force And skirmish with setting up team's on their sites...... Delta have like in excess of 20 sites across the country no? similar number for Skirmish right? Those sites must churn through THOUSANDS of first "punters"., there will always be select "punters" which end up seeking jobs as marshal's - which forms a perfect base for people interested in paintball to form teams, or even clubs though obviously there are setbacks:
Chances are the skirmish & delta sites most likely will not host a team because of the volume of paint being shot, (these sites are there to make money at the end of the day & will unlikely give a team 20 boxes each trainin session which they could sell with extreme profit) But surely there is a possibilty of these sites offering discount rec paint for their teams to use? DO these sites even offer discounted rates for their marshal's anyway???
it would be awesome if each site as well as having the main team (for people to aspire to) had a team club which would run during a weekday evening for these novice players to contribute to? - Contribute to the site and inevitably bring flesh and blood to the tournament scene as a consequence?
If not set up a direct team related to each site, set up a club? where punters can gain more experience by playing similar drills to pro's and ultimately learing more about the depth of the sport???
A major issue is the fact that the general public doesnt see the true depth of the game - peewee football and hockey clubs show you the depth of that particular sport - and that i feel is what we need. We need developed teams to develop further into clubs which offer a name for people to train and play with.,.,
Instead of just letting all these new players form poorly structured teams which fold after a season - help the prominent teams develop and bring players under their wing.
