I have both guns mate and they are both fantastic markers, i would say that the mini is easier to maintain and is extremely light and small keeping everything nice and tight. There are also a lot of aftermarket ups to make it even better. I would personally try them both and make you own decision. If you decide on a shocker, let me know as i have a nice strange shocker available for sale at the moment mate.

i have just bought a mini nice guns to use but lacking a bit of accuracy (nothing a longer barrel won't fix) filled it with ups and it holds its own with the best of them now
shockers are very accurate out of the box and with the right tweaks shoot as well as a dm

Tinkering ain’t easy
Shot all of them and each has its positives and negatives:

Sft:
Nice to shoot
Loads of aftermarket bits and bobs
Need to be looked after and lubed properly
From stock it needs HE bolt kit, new asa and thats about it really, a better barrel is always nice and a better board than the nerve is nice.

Mini
Smaller and lighter than the shocker
not as many upgrades available but still plenty out there
Can be a little tempermental-mine was a bit bouncy but once set up are very nice
upgrades from stock id recommend, barrel, board and thats about it

NXT
Heavier than the sft and mini
Upgrades from stock: board possibly but bar that your fine.

Personally I shoot an NXT (amongst others, and its not quite stock) and its great a very nice marker for the cash. Id go second hand obviously off these boards to get the most for my $$

I have a shocker NXT and a mini.

Personally i hate my Shocker NXT (up for grabs if you want to buy it second hand off me ;))
Buying a shocker brand new, and then upgrading the feedneck and board is already £100 out the window, I also don't like the position of the trigger... don't get me wrong its a good trigger, but the grip frame and fore part of it before the trigger starts is too big, I'v had problems playing with this in semi, I have to claw at the trigger (with my nail ends)rather then use the inside of my fingers to shoot. Barrel is good, shoots good, not as efficent on air i don't believe, but with fill stations always at hand i never have too much of a problem with effeciency.

Overall, you have to spend alot of money on one of these to get them to shoot to what you would feel comfortable with. also weighty, if you'v got weedy arms like me, holding this for an entire day takes it toll :p (very weedy)

Mini - Lovly gun, you'll have to get used to shooting with the front grip frame as its not your usual shape. Everythings nice and tight, and no macroline to get in the way! :)
Love my mini before i screwed it up, trigger with repelling magnets is great, board is easier to set then the stock shocker imo, good standard locking feedneck. And as for the barrel, I'v never had a problem with it, shoots damm straight imo, may want to overbore it with a unitec if you really want to upgrade it. Best of all its Cheap!

Bad side... eyes are difficult to get to, you have to take everything apart to get to them to clean them properly.

I'd get a Shocker second hand off here imo theres some really good deals on shockers around.
If I were to go for the mini, I'd get it brand new, will cost around £205 with warrenty which i think is fantastic! :)

Hope this helps, best of luck with whatever you get dude!

Id just like to point out that accuracy is to do with yourself number 1, and 2nd the paint quality. It has nothing to do with barrel length, or barrel type for that matter.

I havent put a single upgrade in my mini, and it performs better than most guns I come across. Check my videos if you want.
