Sorry Fred im clearly not as smart as you and it takes me a little time to see the point your trying to make, though to be fair you did confuse the situation slightly by saying the issue was no shows effecting another teams chance of making sunday when infact the real issue (i assume) is some of the teams fighting not to get relegated were handed wins putting them above other teams in a similar situation.
Maybe next year the millennium could write some kind of no show clause where a team missing X amount of events revokes its spot (with teams now owning spots and money being involved I dont think they could legally do this at this point in the year.)
It is a problem, but what can be done if a team chooses to pay the money but not turn up? As said above maybe the issue that needs to be addressed is the roster lock or what ever is causing these teams to miss events. If we looked at the issues rather than slating the teams themselves maybe something positive could come of this.
