I recently was invited on a mates stag do in Bonny Scotland. As it clashed with the masters i umed and ared but decided to go as he was a close mate and there was paintball on the menu.
Took my ego, just in case, and headed on up there.
Now I'm no pro, but think ive a fair decent knowledge of how to do things on a paintball site. This place took the pi**.
Firstly, they were wanting £10 for a 100 shot pot. Secondly, when I asked if i could use my gun in the last game of the day (usually carnage with last man standing out when your paint is finished, you know the score....) The guy who was running it told me he not only didn't have a chrono on site but that he would test fps by shooting his mate in the back and seeing how big the mark was!
When we finally got our paint it was winter paint, which they had "left over" (it was june) and was rock hard not even breaking on sheet aluminium at 10m.
This could have had some thing to do with the markers though which were c02 powered infernos firing at about 180 fps and regularly screwing up due to what i can only think was bad maintinence... I really could throw harder. The safety was also a joke with people taking masks off all over the place with out being bollocked.
To add to all this we were out all day, in the heat with no drink or access to drinks and game scenarios which were crap and not well thought out.
Just to leave me with a lovely warm feeling at the end, someone stole my gloves and hat.
Anyway.... after my rant i was wondering if anyone can top terrible day in Scotland.
(the place has been left out, but there's a prize if you can guess where)
