hello all,

so i have been in russia for the last week or so, and the today i have just ben sitting round reading some of the older adtions of PGI, when it hit me, there all this talk about the way to make paintball more publically nown and alll that hoo har. and before i go an further yes i do the the nppl are doingit and maybe some others but this is the way i see it.

lets take the NSPL and KOTH for an exapmple, atm they only have 2-3 fields so gettting a copple camras and recording the events and streeming them to a web site would be a hell of alot cheaper than doing it for a majour leage, and if we can prove to the biggar leages that it does work before they spend the huge amount of cash doing, they re more like to dig into there pockets to do it, so what i was think so using the nspl as a example, and lets say they have to fields up for the event, we get 1-2 possable 3 camras per field, stream the footage to a web site to show the world thatit can be done, by doing this on the smaller leage it will be cheaper and when the biggar leauges see that it works, with a simple secule on the front page field 1 and field 2 buttons

this would in my personal opnion move paintball in the right direction

thoughts anyone?

Who's going to front up the cash for the cameras, streaming, and website?
There is nothing in it financially for a tournament holder, it just costs them extra money.

Also, how many viewers do you think there would be realistically?
People that watch NPPL etc, watch it because its major league play, but its not possible to get there, or its cheaper/easier than going there. (viewers in england for example)

The majority of people that would be interested in watching local league play like that would be local players to the tournament, who would either be playing, or capable of going to the tournament itself to spectate.

I reckon if you had NSPL or UKM steaming live on a website, you might peak to 30 viewers at any one time?

its not teams that need sponsering (althought it is nice :) ) its the events, to bring don cost of the tornment, like on football u have coca cola leaguge (not much of a football person) and all round the pitches sponserd by pespi

thats the way fwd for paintball
