Hey guys, I'm relatively new to paintball, have a few friends who are quite into it and there's even talk of forming a team.

I'm Looking to get my own kit before summer hits (Gotta love 4 months off from Uni :)). I'm looking to spend anywhere between £400-600 for a gun and most of the Kit needed (importantly a decent mask, air bottle, and hopper)

A little more info : i'll probably playing perhaps twice a month at a site local to me, as well as playing privatly on a friends land. - The site has both woodsball and sup'air as far as i know.

400-600 is plenty, so as hobo has said look on the for sale threads or make a wanted thread with all the things you need.
you'll need a gun compatible for woodsball and sup'air, so maybe a pmr or an upped ion??
well i cant thing of anything else that will do for woods and sup'air.

well your gonna want an electric marker dude. that way you can play sup air and woodsball. a mechanical marker wouldn't be up to playing sup air. as for which one, its down to personal preff. everyone will tell you to get what marker they use but you should go out and get a feel for them yourself. personally i would say get a DM7 or a MINI. both to me are very nice markers.

try a thread in the wanted section or browse the for sale section.

hope this helps

Pop into the Clasifieds on here to get a bargin, best option IMO.
Agreed. You could pick up an etek for 220ish, air for 80-90, mask for 40-45, pants+jersey for around 50-70, gloves 5-10. All top notch gear. It'd cost you twice that new. Have a browse :)

Cheers for the fast replies guys, and i will take your advice and keep my eye on the for sale threads, however at the moment i'm looking more for new equipment rather than second hand.

Any advice in regards to this would be great.

i had planned on getting a PM7 (a couple of sites had reduced them down to £240-250) but i missed out and they are all sold now.

over-rated, imo a second hand gun is better than a brand new one. they're cheaper, and already broken in, if you get a trusted seller you wont be dissapointed. i've also got a fair bit of spare kit, if you need trousers or a jersey or 4, give us a shout :)

OR, I thought the same. Someone (Think it was SAP7) said to me:
"you can get a £200 marker for £200, or you can get an £800 marker for £200".

Altho its used, if you find the right seller you cant go wrong
