I think your quite wrong there, this is a paintball forum, with a few of the abilities similar to social networking to help people with one primary thing in mind PAINTBALL.. not 'i want to be in a pirate gang' or 'poke me' and i'll 'poke you' back, and lets be in the 'i love britney spears' social networking group..

It's still a social network.
A more targeted and closer knit one yes, but one all the same, there are groups (Platinum Members or the Gun Whores Club for example), event schedules, buddy lists (friends) and the like, you even have Manufacturers and Retailers using these and other forums to publicise their products - granted there are no (admittedly very annoying) applications to contend with, but aside from that, the two sites function in a very similar way: To bring their user base together and facilitate ease of communication.

Hell, P8nt now even has a digg it button - social networkings closest rival, user defined/generated search engines!

BTW, I am in no way trying to poke fun and/or incite you, you have every right to hate Facebook/Bebo/MySpace and all the others as do others, I just thought it was ironically funny that you chose to vent on the channel you did.

I swear you work for facebook..and in reply to your other post, no one is right or wrong, your entitled to your point as is everyone else, i was just saying what i think etc, others will have their opinions on it, which is why it was posted in SYB, so everyone can say their piece.

I myself have only started using it in the last week. It's rather good, getting intouch with friend's that i lost contact with years ago. (proper friends, not just former school friends).
