UPS priority From US

Hey,

How long does it take usually take for Priority packages take to arrive, and the likelihood of me being hit by customs ($40 item).

Its only a small package btw

7-10 days m8, 2 weeks is kinda the usual. My last lot of stuff took 2 weeks.

Tracking should tell you, but ours is 3 days when we use it.

Customs - very likely, UPS are rather hot on that.

oh btw, the new rule is, if you have an item over $36 from one private person to another, you will be charged around £27 quid from customs.

Jesus, that's more than the actual item!

They guy has lost the tracking number... which is a bit dodgy, but he says it was sent last Thursdays. Do i have to wait for a letter from UPS requesting the fee's?

Thats not quite true, it depends on the type of item etc. If your reciving it from the east coast its normally 3-5 days west coast up to 12.

UPS dont normally hold items in customs for long, but they will charge you upfront before delivering parcel ---- this is good unlike FedEx who send you a bill weeks after for your own clothes!! not that im bitter about paying £20 for a pair of $20 wallmart jeans and my diary!! lol

The item is coming from Florida. Hope it arrive before the weekend, need it for monday.

As i've said, the guy has apparently lost the tracking number, which doesn't bowed well it if gets lost

Took about a week for me to get some iitems from Florida, non-priority, missed customs too

got a quite heavy box (emag so make that a heavy box!) bought it on the 14th arrived yesterday, had a $50 customs value on it and got here with no cost.

i forget the actual figures, but if import duty comes to less than £7 its is waived completely, sol ong as its less than around $50 you probbably dont need to worry
