teching advice for an ego 05

Hello all, will bring you upto speed where i am right now, was having velocity issues and found a leak, have stopped a leak that was cusing my problems by fitting a comprehensive parts kit, installed and lubed up all new O' Rings through out the gun, reg pistons, frm, and rammer, new ehxaust brass guide and new exhause valve. when doing this i also spotted that one of the QEV's was loose so removed that and secured it properly with blue locktite. serviced both in line reg and lpr as per the manual guide.

now that i have done all of the obove whats next, how long will it take to run in and how do i then go about tuning the gun to be its most efficent on the air. think right now im getting jumps / drops of about 10-15 fps over the chrono.

think my dwell is currently set to 9 right now.

hm,mmm...firstly the dwell should be higher than that on an o5 something like 14 i think ....get some one to confirm that(or do a factory reset, if you havent set up your tt), secondly you reffer to lubing your gun , but also saying as per manual, the only parts that need "vaseline" are the pistons in each reg which is in the manual. other than that check lpr screw is flat against the cap itself, aka"flush"

think i have found the answers to all my questions on pbnation thanks.
but wtf is dow 33 and dow 55 that they keep referring to as lubes to use on various parts? and where can i get some or an equivelent?

dow 33 is lube used on most smart parts/dye guns etc, aka sleek lube etc, dow 55 is slightly thinner i beleive, hater sauce is dow 55, im sure dow33 would be fine for most parts that dont need eclipse gun oil

sloth are the only people i can remember that sell hater sauce, most shops should stock some form of dow 33, sloth, lips, JCS etc

to lube an ego you need

Gun oil
vaseline


anything else is just marketing BS


use what planet use


you dwell should be 9ms stock on an 05 ego

However I don't use any in my Ego, just quality oil or vasaline as Lovetone said. The DOW 55 is just used on my Timmy - which needs it to swell o-rings and seal properly as per factory specs.

I found my own 05 gave better consistency at around 10ms dwell, and LPR is set at 1/2 turn in from flush to help to reduce kick, but each Ego varies on what LPR/Dwell setting combination works best. I would wait an see if it settles down after a bit more use, as it could take a while for all the new parts & bed in.
