er no he doesnt at all hes talking utter crap.... basically it sounds like he has a grudge against paying for the most upto date hardware in order to play new games on high graphics settings.....well DOH! thats just life, you want to play the best games you need the best kit. always been like that and always will be.
i wouldnt expect an average or outdated pc to be able to run games on top settings.
mr average as he puts it will always be stuck with an average pc.....thats because he buys what he can afford and turns the graphic settings down....where as mr hardcore gamer wont touch a console with a barge pole and will spend some 'moneee' building a high spec pc and keeping it upto date.

in any case it wouldnt be microsoft getting his 'moneeee' it would be the hardware manufactuers
but yes i agree microsoft do suck...but not as much as SOE

Either way, MS is taking the software to the future, and with that there will be bugs, and there will be problems. The very nature of ICT means they can't test every single setup and configuration before relasing, but its a 2 edged sword, you hear of all 10% of people who have problems with every ms relase ever, but you dont hear about the other 90% who have no problems at all?


I have never had a problem with any MS release ever (i skipped ME) because im not an idiot, and I know the limites of my hardware and how it interacts with the software.

At the end of it, Money talks, and Microsoft listens to the money. But it doesn't mean their products are bad

I have heard of a few as well Matt but only a tiny minority, but the customer service for the Xbox from Microsoft has improved vastly over the last year or so.

I here what you are saying about games computers v consuls but if you look at it from a bang per buck viewpoint, consuls win hands down everytime.

well between 2 of my friends who are room mates, theyve been through 7 (last tiem i checked). If you go for the higher end versions they seem to be better built though.

and i fully agree consoles win for games, theyll play the latest games for about 5 years after their release, whereas a computer will need constant upgrading to play the latest games. The only thing i prefer about pc's for gaming is the online capabilities.

but only because theyre becoming more and more like computers. Sony originally had trouble getting the PS3 into europe without getting charged the tax computers do (which is a lot more than consoles) because it can run linux.

yes ive heard their CS is pritty effiecent, but to be honest if that many break they had better be!
agreed, £for£ a console is a far better option, but if you want the very best you are always going to have to fork out for a decent gameing pc.
