The basic idea is sound and i applaud you for giving it a go.........But:
i'd hate to see it go tits up and screw over any credibility that paintball still has?
I'm all for taking paintball to the masses and advertising our "sport"
but in reality you'll just end up with a few confused kids and a couple of lost pensioners looking for a cake shop?
Did you go to the Millenium at Basildon last year?
Billed as being part of the Basildon festival with thousands of people in attendance and oh yeah right.....no bugger there
Even if anyone did bother to stop and watch, the games are confusing to outsiders and i've never seen a guide to promote paintball being handed out, not even a stall to explain things and as for commentary's.......jeezus wept!
The only way this is going to be anything other than a pi$$ up in clapland, is if you take a serious step back and look at the "WHOLE" event as if you'd just landed from mars? Explain things, promote things, make it exciting, get the x-box screens there, get the red bull mountainbikers there, get the skateboard fraternity there, get some live music there maybe a bit of the x-games stuff, but for god's sake, don't pitch 2 fields on a soggy condom covered sewage treatment site and claim to be "our representative"
Best of luck
Love and kisses
Lucky
