I agree it sucks when it happens, but mistakes do happen. If it was biased then that ref should burn in hell as there is no excuse for biased refs.
agreed, but also a lot of players are unfortunatly in the mind set that if they dont agree with a call then it is incorrect......a marshal will call what he sees. players oftern see things from a different angle cant see the whole picture.Dont think players realise the bigger picture. Players will play 8 games ish, probbably make mistakes in at least one. The refs do 40+ games in a day and if they happen to miss one thing or make a bad call in a couple of games then its bit of bad luck if your on the recieving end of it, but really its not that bad if you look at the percentages.
that coupled with the fact that a LOT of players cant get it into their head that if they are in play with a shot ANYWHERE then it is an instant 141 is a nightmare sometimes...refs dont write the rules they just enforce them.
is anyone else of the opinion that giving one field 'field of the day' is a little silly also? what do players actually base their vote on? i bet most of them vote for someone they know, or the field which didnt enforce 141s when they should and a good %age will vote for the field with the best field design.
what have any of those got to do with who were the best marshals? especially when the field that gets the prize gets a fairly sizeable pay bonus.
all it takes is for one 50/50 call to go against a team and they wont vote for a field no matter how good the refs actually are working.
and no im not jelouse because we didnt win it this month (we did last month) before anyone even thinks it.

It would have been the one on the harsh side, 4 players leaving the dead box, without instruction -25 each I think isn't it?
But I'm not the ultimate, but as I was reffing with the man, the myth JC I am sure he would make the same call.

Although even the other team(s) said it was "unlucky"
And i think the only reason he is saying its biased was because the last masters i think it was you who 1 4 1'd nearly all our team...altho as i said this is HIS opinion not the teams...i dont hold any grudges
...also this has nothing to do with one for ones incase people wondered it was because our player "put his hand on his head" not because of a 141 call which oviously no one likes to have but there part of the game and i suppose the fun But when our player gets taken off for no reason we get a bit annoyed...but as the ultimate makes the decision i guess lets let it go 
ok j-doe im not trying to make this into an argument and ruin the thread for every one else. I agree with you and others about the refs having a long day and reffing many games and obviously they will make mistakes. But im not talking about that or being against them but all i was saying was that the reffs on field one and two were not at there best on sunday.

Before everyone gets there handbags out, if the marshall makes a decision, that is the rule, you walk end of. At the end of the game the CAPTAIN can argue it with the ultimate. He is the ultimate, if he backs his marshall then shut up sign the sheet and move on. The idea of an ultimate is just that. Why go bumping your gums to Becks or Wendy when they are not even on the pitch???
If you have a 17yr old captain arguing against an experienced player who knows the rules then it will come down to the power of the word. Could you imagine if they introduced sin bin? In rugby if you argue you miss out, perhaps in paintball you should have to field your next game down a player. Then let's see who will argue
