Can you cap it at 12 or13 bps? That could be an issue depending what you plan on doing with it. I'm not familiar with the marker so I don't know what capabilities the board has, but that's worth thinking about.

nope, unfortunatly its either uncapped or 15.
Although i do believe there is a NOX board for the promaster which allows you to change modes..not too sure about the details

Its a nice solid gun to be honest, you will need a grip feedneck, but if you use a halo, it'll fit nice a snug.
The trigger is fine, but CP have a trigger if you dont like it (but it is nice).
The barrel is A/C Thread so you wont have a problem there.
The board / firemodes I cant remember but I dont think it can be 12 bps as stock.
Its a nice gun, but changing the battery is time consuming, you have to take off the entire clamshell and grip just to change the battery.
But it is nicer than an ion as you dont need any / many upgrades for it.
Better get it quick though as ICD is closing down, so the stock will be out soon I assume.
Also another upgrade you could get is a bolt, I know that shocktech do a bolt, but I dont know if the pin is longer, because the stock pin is quite short, and will start to wear down the anno around the bolt area, you can get custom shorter pins for the stock bolt, but the shocktech bolts are nice.

The stock firing modes are either uncapped or 15bps capped. I've just got one and getting an asa and drop for it, along with a trinity feed neck.
I used my m8's the other day at a walk-on @ campaign and it is so nice to shoot. I only used it for 2 fields and then I had to go back to my mongoose.... which was a disappointment :p Shame I couldn't have used it for speed ball...

I have an ICD Promaster.

Used it twice so far, and I love it.

I'm not gonna do a pro's and con's list cos they're crap, instead I'll just write about it! It's nice to look at, all aluminium. The board can do full-auto uncapped. In reality you're looking at 12 - 15bps. I had to file down the feedneck of my halo to fit snug - I recommend a clamping feedneck as the stock is a bit of a bitch. Yes, it doesn't come with an ASA, it comes with what I've been told is called a Donkey, which is just a solid block of aluminium.

I've added an old slimline Eclipse OOP S which I nicked off Dave B (although he got a brand new one in silver as a replacement :D), and I've added a black Delrin spike boltpin. The boltpin is much lighter, but speed-wise I've not noticed a difference as I haven't played with it since receiving the pin. Howver, it is quieter as the alu boltpin slams into the frame each shot and that's noisy.

The spike is SHARP, and that's a bitch when you're field-stripping the bolt. I suggest taking a file to the very tip and round it off, but besides that it's worth the £6 odd I paid off ebay.

I've also pimped it up slightly by replacing the stock green LED indicator (which is pale and looks really limp) with a superbright orange LED, which makes the marker look much nicer. Also, the screws for the power switch should have been black, and again it makes it look nicer.

Parts are hard to come by in the UK, but ebay has a fair share of reputable sellers selling ICD parts from the states. Pair of laser eyes - $10 and 5 minutes with a soldering iron.

I recommend it if you're skint, it's a good marker. I haven't played with an SLG so I don't know what proto guns are like.

Oh yeah, the stock trigger is nice if you know how to play with it - in 10 minutes I had mine set so sweet that I dar not touch it ever again :D.

www.Gunsmoke.co.uk for a idc promaster £99.00 at the moment but hes running out quickly...

and yes zombie loved the promaster !!

the stock gun it really good but your really going to want a new clamping feedneck which is ion / shocker thread but not NXT as its a tadd different.

the grips are good enough but simply for looks you can change them, its 2 screw 45 grips wraps or pannles.

as firebird its autococker thread which theres no shortage of..

theres a few upgrades for the lpr internals ect but there difficult to get hold of.

other than that its fine and a beautifull cheap marker.

to set the regs up theres only a few basic things to do...

both off, gas up hpr to 250, lpr till it leaks and half a turn back... should be shooting about 280 ajust with the hpr :)

Rabies on here can re-flash the board to latest Millennium & PSP specs - awesome code, I wouldn't use anything else!
