edit - but are you really surprised? xbox had sold a ton before, and so will naturally slow down in sales. PS3 had only just launched

granted the video playback capabilities are the PS3s (only) strongpoint showing thus far.

i owned a ps for years but went 360 when i played the beta of cod4 round a mates.

How will that help? 90% of people are going to go with the one they own, and as 360s are cheaper and have a larger owner base it will more than likely win.

I can think of a few things that the PS3 has over the 360. Internet browser, upgradeable hard drive, works with non-sony components, you can use it to print photos, wireless as standard, memory card slots, HD as standard (as opposed to the 360, not the Elite) free online community. The online community is a bit crap, but it's free, and there are big plans for it. I do agree that there is more selection for the 360, and the PS3 controllers are shocking, but I think there is too much potential for the PS3 for it to be written off.
