Few being point of my comment.

You could count the number of 'dedicated' UK teams on your right hand. Statistics dictate that only a small percentage of these teams would be able to cut the mustard at a pro / semi pro level, hence the poor international showing from this side of the pond.

i think it depends on what you mean dedicated, and to which level.
some teams just arnt upto high european level like some, not even high domestic level, but thats life. it doesnt mean that they're not dedicated to training and becoming the best of what they can be...

do you think there dedicated to the right training tho. as i see some teams training. shooting lots of paint [which is not cheap] and i think why are you doing that.

same,
i see many teams train, but totally wrong, some have walk-ons as their training, no drills , nothing.
but i think it is/isnt the teams fault for not training properly.
it is because you can just use your initiative -ask a fellow/higher team to attend a session and show you some stuff, or even ask a pro, like many teams have with the excellent Nicky T.
most people are just to stubborn to ask for help.

To be honest, I think UK ball is dying.

There a less and less players sticking with dedication and commitment to the high level of training/competing that is needed to keep up with other European teams (of which I think are getting better).

As Clint has stated only 1 CPL team left from the UK, and this is shocking. Im not too sure what happened with Method and Shock, but it seems that rather than bad play to break up the team, it was something to do with a fall out, or players just wanting to move on... (May well not be the case by the way, just seems that way!)

well surely it can't be that bad. Yes 2 of our 3 pro teams are dead but we have other good teams in the mills. I think its just a thing that will take time to rebuild, lots of other sports have their ups and downs, just with the number of players we have it will just take longer to rebuild. So in effect its an up hill struggle. Lets look at it at a positive angle more domestic teams are appearing than disappearing. More quility sites are appearing D7s north, freekz, HSC (or whatever it is) i have heard good things about sites like these. Sites wouldnt be built if the owner thought they would get nothing out of it. Surely there must be something there.

We can all say its too expensive thats why we dont have young players, its not good enough for TV, we aren't commited etc... but these are the obvious 'excuses' in effect. If you dig a little deeper teams like NK, ECI, nexus, disruption etc... all play every weekend most both days (apperentaly). How many of us try to play every sunday? im sure more of us want to play more. I think the best way to describe it is - english ball has a cold and we just need to get over it. (my view anyway)

I would question why this is a good thing? More teams = wider spread of talent = weaker teams. Look at the first lineup of Nexus - guys from all round the UK. Paintball isn't a high performance orientated 'sport' at present. It's all about mates and local geography deciding teams rather than performance.

I think tommy"the gun"webb's post is the most accurate description of UK ball at the moment.

Im gonna get killed for posting this but the answer is simple and has been said but im going to make it even easier and this is going to be my only reply.

Get down you local site every Sunday and get started at 9am and go home when it gets too dark to play, if theres no one there your lieing, you can snap against fence posts/targets, 1 on 1's, half court games etc just grind it the hell out.

Note: I apoligise for posting becuase im not ment to be doing this but i simply have to becuase im that passionate about UK paintball.
