right im basically after my own first car and dont no what to get and people keep suggesting loads of different cars so just wondering if people who drive them could tell me what there like looking as small hatches with cheapish insurance but still not slow

dont go for any of the chavy ones and you should be ok. cheap insurance diesel all the way, get a fast car when your older

im on the verge of buying my first car too, but have tried out lots of cars in prep for buying one.

1.0 petrol polo cant go wrong
nippy, cheap to run and indestructable my brother crashed mine through 2 walls and rolled it, it was f**ked to the extent he had to climb out the sun roof and didnt even get a bruise
and they have bloody good german engines
and they are heavy enough that you can throw em into wet corners at 60 and stay on the road (if tires are good)

want a bigger engine than a 1 l i dont wanna get a smaller one than im using atm ( my mums 1.3 )
so really a 1.2 or 1.4

i dunno why but i dont like polos anything else??

Though my 1st (legal and on the road car) was a '67 Camero with 454 under the hood and 4 on the floor, believe it or not.

Long story cut short - back then the driving test in Florida consisted of not hitting a squad car in the parking lot
