after reading all that the only asumption i can make from the negatives is if you aint born with a silverspoon up your backside you should'nt be able to play paintball. well thats bull. myself like a lot of others will no doubt work hard to pay bills and make ends meet, i'm constantly working 12 hour days 5/6 days a week and i still have had to give up luxery's to make ends meet i even gave up smoking to allow me the extra money so i can afford to play paintball, if paint did go up by that amount even commited players from working class back grounds would have to chuck it in. i dont see were any fairness comes from bumping the price up....just my opinion

Ok, so this argument is nose diving into the abyss that is "Are you dedicated enough to play paintball?".

Now I find myself on the other side of the argument for once, my usual nay-saying of the "dedicated" fraternity turned to become a chanting war cry.

Right, so what do I mean....simple....if you want to play paintball, you will. Its not about dedication....lets be honest with ourselves, we are fairly odd people (wearing brightly coloured power ranger outfits, dancing round oversized balloons) so we don't play paintball for street cred or the international recognition.....we play it because we love it.:p

If the price of a box of paint was to go up by £10.....you would find a way to lay your hands on the extra cash.....if you can afford the £££s of kit, you can afford the painballs. Trust me you will......we are just adrenaline junkies, looking for our next fix.

Ok, now the contentious bit......the horse crap that is being shovelled here is atrocious. No doubt that manufacturing techniques have improved, but when has that meant that the manufacturers have passed that saving on to you and me....NEVER! Thats what inflation is all about. Lets face it, we get paint at a bargain price these days.

Will this argument ever be resolved.....probably not, so the whole point is fairly moot. But you are all entitled to my opinions :p

Internet bedroom idiots are allowed by suppliers to buy them and sell them for a £2 profit. Whilst this happens no real money will be invested into paintball because no return can be made.
Paint should be at least £50-£60 per box and only available from walkin shops or sites.
Who are these bedroom paint traders?
Where/who are they getting the paint from?
Where/who do they sell it to?
How are they able to survive alongside established distributors/sites, who buy and sell paint by the pallet load (selling the bulk of it at retail prices)?
Are you sure they really exist?

This argument sounds like tescos complaining about the local corner shop undercutting them, because the corner shop has lower overheads.
Im pretty sure it doesnt work like that...

Having worked in paintball, I'm pretty sure it does.
Your argument is flawed in that the bulk of the paint does not get sold at retail. Most of it goes to site owners, lower rank distributors and other people that fear they may lose a client or two if they don't give stupid discounts to their customers. That's how distributors sometimes get people at their walkon days with paint they distribute, bought at prices lower than they sell it for...

£10 extra a box, maybe. But £50-£60 a box? Up to 3 times as much is a big increase, and I doubt it's as easy as you think it is for us all to find that much extra cash.
