if the mill were to adept the psp-layouts i think they would have to increase gametime tremendously, because otherwise crappy reffing would influence too much, with the gamespeed and movements going to increase alot.

A good point the PSP make is even with crappy reffing (and there is not a lot of that there) on a multi point format the best team will still win.
But do you not think it would be better for European paintball if we all used the same fields (as in layout)
There is supposed to be some sort of joint collaboration, why not let the players see some benefit as well.
Somehow the M instead of an X is wrong in my book.

I do think that it would be better for european paintball to adapt the xball format. But it would have to be 100% the same, otherwise it would fail miserably. Using their layout with our current timespans, points etc wouldnt work at all. full commitment.

As of now im really negative to the format of the Millennium series. Imo its not even close to be xball. Its just multipoint 7man with shorter kitup-time. My biggest concern is the number of points being played. This issue is something that they should really look into.

The psp has 20 minutes or first to 7 points for div2 and below.
I think this is an adequat set up, to be able to call something xball-lite.

The open division in the psp is 2 x 15 (i think) or first to 10. Maybe the mill should use the div2 format in the prelims and then switch to the openX after the prelim games.

If you use Mill layouts or PSP layouts isnt such a big concern for me, since both have their perks and difficulties.

If we really would like to see the gap between Euroball and US-ball, then it would be an great idea to use PSP layout and rules. But it would have to be fully commited xball.

Really tired right now so im not sure this post makes sense or is correctly spelled/grammer. :)

I am sure if they copied the game format from PSP div2 (since most so called good European are about the same level in terms of skill) it may produce some beneficial results, I am sure it could do no harm.

Two minute turn rounds with a change of ends every three points. Twenty minutes game time or first to seven.
Same fields and perhaps layout as across the pond.

You could change the game times after qualification if needed but in my experience the above criteria will produce the correct winner.

Wow, great argument, nice comeback.

Johan, you may be a pretty good paintball player, but that doesn't make you smart. I know what you do for a living and if you think that you know more about business than I do, then you are clearly an idiot. Enjoy the Dutch forums where everybody worships your boundless intellect. Or should I say lack thereof?

If you honestly think that there will be more Dutch teams then UK teams entering, I know some Nigerian businessmen that would love to talk to you.

Don't pick a fight with me Johan. You will lose, both physically and mentally.
C'mon, Johan. Make your move. Don't let the big lug intimidate you. What this place needs is good knock down drag out brawl and besides, you got national health or it's equivalent over there, don't you? Spontaneous Fight Club! Yeah!

(Okay, so I'm terminally bored. Sue me.)
