31st October Wed night review
Well Halloween did us no favours to be brutally honest, with 3 late cancellations, arrrghhh! So just 7 Teams, but that didn't stop for a memorable evening, infact the most fun night so far in NSPA history and also some scarey results!
The new field was setup with the huge A complex in the centre and over 20 bunkers, giving the new teams a chance off the break and the more experienced some great attacking play. The field looked stunning and the following play was to match.
Final results and review:
1st; Universal: 24pts (Lost their first game to Jakass, big shock, but then got into their usual attacking tempo and didn't lose again all night, beat Moppy's T Bags in a 1st place play off, amazing spectacle)
2nd: Moppy's T Bags: 24pts (Lost their title in the final playoff but were superb all night with fast flanking play, will be back next week to try for the title and you wouldn't bet against them, well maybe Universal would!)
3rd: Green Machine: 19pts: (Oh my word what an improvement, astonishing. Started slowly then just got better and better. Took all by surprise, and excellent on field comunication. Well done boys, top 2 next week?)
4th: Cannon Fodder: 18pts (Another team who's improving every week, played some great games against more experienced teams, Mark the mugger was on top form!)
5th: DOA: 17pts (Not their full team out again, but faired well, great battle for the middle three places, Gaz lead the line like a true captain and when back to full strength will be competing for top place)
6th: Jakass: 15pts (An amazing start beating Universal then tapered off towards the end, but will be better next week for sure. Maybe missed Josh and Oscar this week)
7th: Mad Monks: 12pts (Unfathomable! Worked the complex and the snake really well but weren't fielding the usual Mad Monks lineup, so we'll put this little mishap down to that!)
Truely great nights worth of entertainment, then with getting the Tournament complete by 10 O'clock a crazy descision was made for All Comers to take on a Universal/Moppy's T Bags 5 Man. 10 on 5 i think, it was wonderful chaos, with self marshalling and true honesty, people calling themselves out, outrageous moves and the air full of paint! This then turned to 5 man and 7 man funfest with often amusing consequences! A real fantastic end to a memorable night!
More of the same next week guys and gals?
Thank you to all at NSPA as usual, Daz
