best way to put a sp guage on?

just wandering the best way to stick a smart parts guage on i.e ptfe tape or loctite and how tight to do it

Don't use loctite,well not the permanent setting stuff anyway!!
Wrap a little PTFE tape around it,screw it in until you 'feel' its tight,don't go mad and get the stillsons on it,just nip it up and that should do you as the threads are tapered

Put it on with a hammer!

It'll break after a week anyway so save yourself the hassle

Seriously tho the best way is using a low strength screw lock such as loctite 222.

DON'T whatever you do and think that all threadlocks are the same, they are not and some will weld your gun together "forever"

Oh and using 222, do it light hand tight

"THEN LET THE STUFF SET FOR A DAY".

222 avoids the "hope" factor.......just for future reference

if the tape dont work try liquid ptfe i used that on my mates pressure gauge the other week no problem was told about this by a shop
