dump all the air from the bottle by pushing in the end pin, or slackening one of the burst disks. Then uncrew the fill nipple and remove all the ptfe tape from the nipple and the hole it came from, and refit it with a small amount of threadlock.
Ptfe tape is good for curing leaks, but at 4500 psi it just can't cope.

when you refit the fill nipple there may be a small amount of threadlock around the exposed threads of the nipple, wipe this away. It will harden quicker when removed.

yes remove it clean it up and refit. Don't do anything with it for a day to let the loctite cure well.
Remember to clean the excess loctite from the threads when it's refitted.

You could put a new fill nipple on if you've got one handy, as they do wear and should be replaced when worn. With the maxflow, make sure all the air is out again and seperate the reg and bottle. At the back of the reg there is an o-ring at the top of the thread, give this a good clean, and clean both mating faces where the o-ring sits on the reg and bottle. Also make sure the front face of the bottle is clean and the corresponding face on the reg. If there's and physical damage to the o-ring replace it.

bottle leaking air

bottle leaking air.

i had a new air bottle leaked air the first 3-4 months and now seems to have settled down. I mean still looses air kind of, after a month it was totally flat you can press in the pin with your finger. However last time i checked it held up good still on 1 bar. Just thinking that the springs etc need pressure to bend discs etc to seal properly and settle down as what someone else already posted.

If you have your bottle is not new then i would get a "good" mates reg and test water test here to see if it still leaks. Either way you will have your answer where the problem is and what to fix. (if possible)
