bad manners or against the rules?

Didn't know where to put this as it's a question about tourney rules.

Can anyone clarify the following is just frowned upon or is it against the rules??

In tourney's when you are shot out can you shout to fellow teams mates "your out" i.e. when your arm band is taken just shout "IM OUT!!!!" or is it when your arm band is taken you can no longer interact with the game i.e. talking to other players, pointing, passing paint etc???

yeah without looking it up im fairly sure that if you shout to your team mate that you are out....you just eliminated him as well.....dead men cant talk.
depending on the tournie rules expect penelty points or a 141

It is exactly as Lump said the majority of rules books in the US including the NPPL and PSP allow you to shout "I'm out or Hit" when you are eliminated.
The Millennium series will penalise you for the same thing so you must put your hand on your head and say nothing at all.
So it depends on what rules the event you are playing use.

I actually prefer the MS rule on this.
