I thought it might be worth exploring something after I read another thread and so here goes:-
Myself and many others, guys who have been in this game a long time (over 10 years) have often commented on the state of play of our modern game.
Now, a lot of us will suggest, it was more fun then (in the woods) not just because of the terrain difference but because the whole tourney atmosphere was different and can best be understood by players from that era saying it was more enjoyable, more fun etc..you get the picture?
This may well be nostalgia creeping in here but it would be interesting to see what a lot of you guys think about this modern game.
I realise that a lot of you won't be able to compare the two and I won't even begin to suggest that people like myself have a more qualified stance because we have had experience of both.
Still, it would be cool to hear the modern day player's take on things when they hear phrases like 'the good ole days'.
Are dinosaurs like myself talking out our ass or do we have a point?
